Inspired by the Lady with the Lamp
No person has made a greater impact on the nursing and midwifery profession than Florence Nightingale, hence #TheNextNightingale challenge. Her dedication to providing quality healthcare to wounded soldiers during the Crimean War has helped shape the profession as we know it today and inspired millions of people to devote their lives to caring for others.
We’ve created three challenges that celebrate three outstanding abilities nurses and midwives possess: resilience, knowledge and perseverance. After all, you have to remain alert and ready despite the long hours you work, your appetite to learn and improve upon your skills never wanes and you continually provide exceptional care to your patients despite the stresses and pressures of daily life.
Florence Nightingale undoubtedly embodied these attributes, and we know you do too.
An international celebration of exceptional people
We believe nurses and midwives are truly exceptional people because of the way you go above and beyond for your patients, no matter the circumstances. It’s a challenging but rewarding career you’ve chosen, and this is our way of saying thank you for all that you do.
