Steve James is the Chief Executive Officer of Teachers Mutual Bank Limited. Having worked in a diverse range of management roles at Teachers Mutual Bank Limited over the last 30 years, Steve has played a significant role in its growth and success. He became Chief Executive Officer in 2005. Steve has been an active participant in both the national and global mutual banking movement, including participating on many national credit union committees, developing his understanding and appreciation of the environment of mutual banking organisations. He is committed to ensuring Teachers Mutual Bank Limited maintains its high level of member service, employee satisfaction, and financial performance.

Brad Hedgman joined Teachers Mutual Bank Limited in 1982 and has worked in a diverse range of management positions since that time. While working primarily in the areas of finance, information technology, administration and risk, he has played an integral part in Teachers Mutual Bank's Limited strength and success. In his current role he remains committed to the unique environment of mutual banks and the provision of responsible financial services to our members.

Neil Kenzler joined Teachers Mutual Bank Limited in 2009 as Chief Risk Officer. He has over 20 years experience in accounting, banking and superannuation with a focus on risk management. His vision for Teachers Mutual Bank Limited is to create an ongoing culture that assesses risks of activities in a cohesive way, with each activity being centred on the interests of Teachers Mutual Bank Limited as a whole.

M. MGT  (Information Technology) and B.Ed (Adult)

Gerard has been working in the Banking and Financial Services Industry for over 25 years. His professional background includes experience in sales and marketing, e-commerce and digital, project management, contact centres, technology implementation and knowledge management.

His current role is Chief Information Officer at Teachers Mutual Bank Limited responsible for Information Technology, the Enterprise Portfolio Office, Enterprise Data and Analytics, and Digital Services.

Craig has over 38 years of retail banking and finance experience. As Chief Operations Officer at Teachers Mutual Bank Limited he is responsible for Credit Operations, Third Party Distribution, Payments and Corporate Member Services. He is also chartered for introducing innovation and ensuring organisational process excellence is adopted throughout the business. Craig is committed to the organisation achieving ‘best practice’ in all it does and providing leadership in service excellence.

Helen O’Reilly joined the Human Resources team at Teachers Mutual Bank Limited in 1990 and was appointed to the Executive Team in 2004. As the Chief Human Resources Officer Helen has played an integral role in building an organisation that values its employees and provides professional development opportunities that have resulted in low turnover, high employee engagement and increased productivity. Her goal is for Teachers Mutual Bank Limited to be recognised as a leader in supporting women to reach their full potential, valuing diversity and enriching the lives of all employees by promoting the value of flexibility to enable people to balance work with their personal lives.

Helen also leads and guides the Property and Facilities function to ensure a safe and welcoming environment is provided for all employees. Helen is a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute and plays an active role in the Human Development Community of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values.

Glenn Sargeant joined Teachers Mutual Bank Limited in 1989 as a trainee accountant, completing his accounting degree part-time in the evenings. He has since worked in numerous roles in the Finance department, developing the expertise to implement effective strategies to continue our excellent financial performance. He is committed to providing the products, services, resources and advice to empower every member to take control of their finances now and make the most of their resources through planning for the future.

Nichole is a brand and marketing leader with 25 years’ experience across ANZ, Asia and the Middle East. Nichole has worked within a variety of industries including financial services, telecoms, technology, prestige beauty and creative agencies.

As Chief Marketing Officer for Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, Nichole is responsible for defining the organisation’s marketing strategy and go to market execution, driving new-to-bank lead generation, member growth and engaging experiences across our portfolio of divisions. Additionally, she is responsible for research and insights, as well the organisation’s product strategy, roadmap, and management of the full suite of banking products.

Alan has had an extensive career within the financial services industry, working in various roles across major banks, retail brokerages and mutuals. This experience has given Alan a broad overview of the financial services industry whilst specialising in mortgage lending and business development.

Alan is committed to developing and leading the overall strategic direction for member experience. He leads the teams responsible for the sales functions across our four divisions including branches, the Lending Solutions Centre and mobile teams. Alan also manages the stakeholder relationships and partnerships focused on building the financial wellbeing of our members and the communities we support.

Carolyn Murphy is the General Manager of Health Professionals Bank. She is dedicated to providing valuable banking services to health professionals and their families. Carolyn is an experienced manager and financial services professional. Her career spans over 25 years in banking, digital systems, and sales management roles.

She has taken on these diverse roles within a number of different companies including, Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, IT Vision, and Ultradata. Carolyn undertook postgraduate study in business and finance at the University of New South Wales and Australian College. In her spare time she is a keen supporter of Very Special Kids.
